Eileen Ferrell McVeigh
Eileen was born in Dayton, Ohio but grew up in Huntsville, AL. She moved to the Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville area in 1980 after graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Psychological Counseling. Eileen worked for Arvida Corporation, the developers of Sawgrass. Here, Eileen was in Human Services, then Construction Warranty manager and spent her last five years there in real estate sales. Then in 1993, Eileen and a partner purchased the RE/MAX franchise and opened RE/MAX Coastal Real Estate. This office has consistently placed in the Top 20 real estate offices for closed sales in the greater Jacksonville area for the last several years.
Eileen says that, “Being a Broker/Owner is never boring. You never do the same thing two days in a row”. It’s this collection of experiences, that help Eileen to troubleshoot the real estate process. Trying to anticipate the events that can derail a real estate transaction, is what Eileen is very good at. For over 20 years Eileen has surrounded herself with a “dream team” of professionals in the mortgage, insurance, title & real estate closing industry to help make sure the property closes in a timely manner.
Eileen has also been very involved in the Association of Realtors. She was a past president of the Northeast Florida MLS, served as Secretary & Treasurer of the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR) and was on the Board of Directors for the Florida Realtors. Eileen was awarded the Realtor of the Year in 2002 from NEFAR and holds several professional designations. These designations show that she has completed coursework and passed testing that certifies her as an authority in such areas of real estate like Luxury Home Marketing, Short Sales & Foreclosures and Relocation.
Eileen enjoys working with First Time Homebuyers, Investors, Move-up Buyers, Retirees and Luxury Home Sales. She prides herself on being the Realtor of Choice for the whole family. “There are homes I’ve sold for clients over my 20 plus years in the business and now I’m working with their children to buy their first homes”. She can list clients who have bought and sold 7 to 10 properties each, over her career.
Eileen says she sees herself more as an Educator than a sales person.
